Eight Steps to Beautiful Roses

Step 1.: Remove and winter protection from around the bases of the plant as soon as the buds on the plant start to swell. If using Turf Revolution Easy Flo Compost for protection, this can be cultivated into the soil around the base of the plant.

Step 2: Prune out any dead or damaged branches until fresh green wood is visable.

Step 3: Fertilize your roses with 125 grams (approx. 1 cup) of Turf Revolution's Roses 'N Bloom in early Spring, just as the first leaves are starting to emerge. Cultivate into the soil around the base of the plant.

Step 4: Fertilize your roses with 125 grams (approx. 1 cup) of Turf Revolution's Roses 'N Bloom just before the first peek bloom (usually late May or early June).

Step 5: To promote flowering throughout the growing season, cut off spent flowers just above an outward facing leaf. Ensure that the branch will be able to support the weight of a new flower stock.

Step 6: Do not overwater your roses. Allow the solid to completely dry between watering and then water deeply. Avoid getting the leaves wet when watering on hot sunny days.

Step 7: Fertilize your rose a third time in mid-summer with 125 grams (approximately 1/2 cup) of Turf Revolution's Roses 'N Bloom and 250 grams (approx. 1 cup) of Turf Revolution Easy Flo Compost. Cultivate into the soil around the base of the plant. Do not fertilize after late July.

Step 8: For Winter protection, mound Turf Revolution Easy Flo Compost about 8 inches deep around the base of the plant so that the entire crown is covered and protected. This should be done between Mid-October and Early November or when the first heavy frosts occur.
